Data Usage

Hi. My question was what happens if I go over my GB data allowance? Do I get charged for going over, or does it just slow down, without any additional charges?
Thank you!

Hello,

The amount of LTE data would depend on what plan you choose. Also, when your data is reduced, it will be reduced to 128 kpbs.

Hello,

Once you use all of your 4G LTE data then your data will reduce to slower speeds. You can purchase extra data if you need more via two ways:
  1. Message UPDATE to 6700 and follow the instructions. You will need to have money in your Mint SIM wallet to make this purchase.
  2. Add more 4G LTE data by logging into your account at my.mintsim.com
Hi. To be clear, once I use up all of my 4G LTE data, it will be reduced to what speed? 4G, 3G, or 2G? And specifically, do I have a limited amount of LTE data, but unlimited non-LTE 4/3/2G amount? Thanks!

in other words.. SLOW! But, still faster than dial-up speed.
Hi again, sorry if I seem to be asking a lot about this, but I want to be absolutely clear, there is absolutely no extra charge for going over? Just slowing down to 128 kbps?
Thanks!
You are correct!
Thank you two so much!

And when they say slow, they mean snail slow, extremely slow to where you want to throw your phone across the room.
Here is a speed test video I found on Youtube on mint sim when you go over data........ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7aSdCIxuog
