I have no service at all for 11 days: when I try to call the number from other phone, I get "Phone number is not in service". When I call from the number itself, it tells me "Mobile network is not available". First created a ticket using Chat service - waited for 3 days - no reply, called it and created normal ticket (#3475746). Was told it will be resolved in 48 hors - calling them since Friday every day - no response at all except "Keep waiting". Supervisor is not available. No way to get refund for the time when service is not working. Tried three different phones, including OnePlus 6, Motorola, etc. (with two of them, the same SIM card was working fine 11 days ago). Awful experience, I wish I never switched from T-Mobile - now have to wait to get my number back so I can switch somewhere else.

Hi! sorry to hear that you are experiencing a service issue. I've sent you a DM requesting some information to assist you as soon as possible.

Hello all. I’ve been using Mint for 6-ish months now, but within the past 1.5 months I’ve been experiencing a fairly serious issue with not receiving calls. This is incredibly frustrating as I’ve put my phone number onto a few e-mailed and electronic resumes and now doubt I’ve been able to receive the call-backs.

Specs:

Samsung A7 2017 unlocked international dual sim with a fully compatible IMEI according to Mint’s phone checker.

8gb plan.

Android 8.0 with stock ROM.

Stock phone app.

Google Messages MMS app.

Issue: Friends have reported to me that: when they call me a different person answers who is quite rude and aggressive. (Note that I am currently sending resumes out with my Mint phone number)

However, sometimes their call will reach me, other times the rude person. This has happened with text messages as well.

I also use google hangouts with a different number which always works flawlessly.

I have called Mint’s India tech support who told me my IMEI was not compatible but recommended I take the SIM out then re-install while on the call with them. I let them know this would end our call and to call me back to continue diagnosing which, to my disappointment, did not happen.

I have deleted and reset-up my APN according to Mint’s guide for Android, but this issue still remains.

I just bought another year of this plan and am painfully regretting it.

Has anyone else solved an issue like this?  Thanks for your time.

I have a Pixel 3a with a 12G data plan. My phone says “T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling” in the top left. Every time I try to make a phone call I get the message “Server Error. Try again later.” Is there any way to make my phone just work as a phone, or is wi-fi calling the only option?

Replying to myself… I found this

Google Pixel 3a - Turn Wi-Fi Calling On / Off
  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network .
  3. Tap Advanced.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi calling.
  5. Tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch to turn on off . If activating Wi-Fi Calling for the first time: Tap Activate Wi-Fi Calling. Tap Roaming preference or Emergency Address.

So I did that and now I can make calls.

How can I review calls history on Mint ?

I don’t see anywhere on the site for call history. What about your phones call history?

Hi, I just switched from StraightTalk. My service with ST has been great really. The only reason is they don’t offer promotional deals like they used to in past so I was looking for cheaper service. I live in rural area. The coverage isn’t that great but I don’t mind as long as I have coverage at work and at home. I am looking for even more ways to save so I keep eye on promotionals deals.

How can I review calls history on Mint ?

Wifi calling works intermittently on my phone, but usually it says that I need to “turn on wifi calling”, which is already enabled.  This is a problem because I live in a rural area and often can’t get cell reception.  I contacted Mint Support about it and they said that I can only use wifi calling if I have a physical address on my account, whereas I had a PO Box on mine.  I told them that I had a physical address as well, but they never responded.  I’ve gone into the account and looked for a place to update my address, but I can’t find the option under Personal Information, Preferences, or any other settings.  So the question is, how to update my address… OR, how to get wifi calling to work.

Good morning! I just activated my account and was curious if there were any specific settings I should check for or update on my phone to make this service work the best.

Thanks!

I activated the 7-day free-trial SIM for my Dad's phone. It worked just fine, and there was a strong signal. I then proceeded to switch to a full plan, and followed the directions to port his old number to Mint Mobile. The number transferred successfully, but there is now no signal at all. I've called Mint technical support several times, but nothing they have suggested has helped resolve this issue. They just say we are in an area that doesn't receive coverage. That's not accurate, as the phone used the T-Mobile network previously and the trial SIM received fine coverage as well.
I'm in the process of switching to a different carrier, and I hope to receive a full refund. However, if anyone can solve this issue before that, that'd be great!
Oct-03-2019.

I tried to check compatibility of my phone with MintMobile. I entered IMEI but web page returned no results.
Then I tried to buy a 3-month plan ($45) but the website did not accept my payment (neither credit card nor Paypal). I filled all address fields but there was an error message saying something about entering address data.

What is going on?
Is anyone else having issues with the the iPhone 11 pro shipping from mint? I ordered one on Sept 25th, 72 hours later it was supposed to ship. I have asked customer service twice, and yesterday and today they keep saying it will be another 48 hours before it leaves the warehouse. It's been in "pre-shipment" for nearly 3 full business days. I asked if I could have the shipping bumped up because of the delay, and I just get a canned response of... wait until tracking updates. Getting a little frustrated with lack of motion or a response that has meaning.

I am using a Samsung S7 ( Verizon branded ), I was able to update all the data settings as per the ones in the Youtube video description ( How to Configure Android MMS & Data Settings

) but I am still getting poor phone call quality. Is there anyway to confirm I added the settiyngs correctly?

Hey there, plainkarate! Sorry no one has gotten back to you about your s7 issues yet -- still need assistance?? If so, please go onto a little more detail on what you mean by poor quality: 4g symbol not lighting up? calls dropping? only receiving calls in certain areas/can't hear the other party half the time? Also, if you indeed are still needing the help (first of all, if honestly be amazed at your resilience alone, lol), go ahead and share a screen shot of your apn settings if you don't mind, and I'll take a look for you there as well.

Thanke for sticking it out when no one wanted to help!

I had raised a complaint regarding the renewal of my mobile plan 4 days ago on 29th November. I was supposed to hear back from a representative withing 48 hours. It is not fair for customers to keep waiting to hear back. The plan does not provide any flexibility when charged incorrectly due to the auto renewal process.I have been trying to get in touch with them since the day the plan was renewed. However, every representative on call tells me that someone will contact me. Whom should I contact next regarding my issue?
...just left AT&T Pre-Paid (after bout one yr)...had 8GB w/monthly roll over for $42.76@month auto-pay...unless u had a 'contract', they wouldn't allow wifi calling even tho they were still auto-taking ur $$ via Pre-Paid same as a 'contract' user...also, every frickn other day some txt clogging msg would be sent saying ur bill was coming in one/two weeks, or how did u like the service, or letting u know ur auto-pay successfully went thru and so on, and so on, and so on ! i called cust/service and asked them to 'cool it' (TURN OFF !!) w/the txt's...no way, Jose'...said they couldn't turn them off cuz i was PRE-PAID ! same towers, same data speeds, same EVERYTHING as a 'contract' user but NOOOOO, they weren't gonna allow u wifi calling and NOOO they weren't gonna STOP w/the txt's...had it w/those dweebs...got the $5 MINT 'starter kit', plugged in the temp/SIM, drove around all over hell & back and voila', worked like a charm w/NO CAP kick a** data speeds ! day l8r, plugged in the permanent SIM card, transferred my existing #, BAM, was working in like 10mins !! clkd on 'wifi calling' on my new iPhone XS MAX, *DING*, instant wifi as well, thanku !

...went w/the intro 5GB 3-month plan & it ended up being only $17.36 ! MINT even threw in a $5 credit from my starter kit cost WOW ! ...diggn the plan, diggn the service and sho nuff, diggn the data speeds/coverage that are faster/better than my former AT&T Pre-Paid...THANX MINT !👏✌

HI everyone
I'm a new Mint Customer and have signed-up for the 3 month 10 GB plan. I decided to switch to Mint as I was averaging 10-11 GB a month with daily streaming to music apps (such as Amazon Music Unlimited, Pandora, IHeart Radio, etc.) and even watch an occasional 30-45 minute youtube a week.

I've only been in the plan for 5 days (today is 10/24/2018, I started my plan on 10/19/2018) and I have already gone through 1.9 GB of my 10GB. This doesn't make sense as I have decided to load my music on my phone via Wifi and decide not to stream any music or videos. In addition, I have changed my app settings to conserve data.

Since it also looks like the plan is burning through my data quick, I decided to take the "LTE" off my setting and go on a regular speed. It looks like I'm still burning LTE data! An hour of visiting a website took away 100 MB. I took a screen shot of the before I started browsing the Macy's website on 4G, not LTE.

Can someone please look into this as it does not make sense how I'm burning through my data a lot faster? I was in my monthly unlimited plan for 2 years and never went through so much data! And I'm not even streaming music or videos.

Thank you,
Dorothy
"insufficient prepaid funds or mms blocked" - why am I getting this message? APN settings are correct and I have plenty of data. This has only started happening over the last couple of days.
I have a Samsung Active S6. I just moved from Georgia to Colorado. I have been having very poor coverage since I've arrived. The Mint coverage map says this area is supposed to have good 4G coverage, but I don't ever seem to catch the signal indicator icon indicating 4G.

I have removed the SIM and restarted the phone in a few different combinations. No change.

I have re-entered the Access Point information according to the Mint website and emails from their support team. Incidentally, that is located in Settings>Connections>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names (people keep trying to get me to go to menus that do not exist on my phone).

Basically, I need to get my phone working again. Please help.

Well JBarnes, you may need to change networks. I had a Metro PCS phone in Atlanta many years ago that kept dropping calls so I dropped them after only a month. Went with Virgin Mobile (Sprint) and was super satisfied until they stopped supporting Android users and went all iPhone. Now I'm with Mint (T-Mobile) and I think it might be a good marriage. I had started out with T-Mobile but left them a decade ago when they were planning a merger with ATT.
So runnerm47 , did you ever get you phone to work in Haiti? I'm going to Mexico City in October. Will I need to get a new local phone or will my Galaxy J7 work? I had T-Mobile years ago and didn't have any problem making calls from Cancun - although I did have a $700 phone bill when I returned.
