ACP Security? Should I be worried?

I am brand new to MintMobile and I just set up the data Access Point Name for my android.

The MMSC is not a secure link (i.e., no “S” in the http URL).

Does this mean my phone is now vulnerable to hackers? I have some financial apps on my phone (like Venmo) and I do not want to be hacked.

Anyone know answer? Thanks!

Hi Rebecca, thanks for reaching out to us. The MMSC link is safe due to the fact that is used as a telecom carrier’s MMS store and forward server. MMSCs will forward any messages to the correct MMSC regardless of the carrier being used by the sender, and does not have access to any of your apps or files. Please let us know if we can provide further support.
