OTA Updates for Android

I have an unlocked Nokia 6 (not tied to any particular carrier) and have been trying to track down a cause to why I am no longer receiving the latest security updates OTA (over the air).

Does anyone know if Mint Mobile allows OTA updates for Android OS?

I’m currently on the October 1 security patch (Pie version) and specific model number TA-1025. Asking on Nokia forums too in case it’s an end of support thing for this model...

I have a Nokia 7.1 on Mint as a backup phone, it receives security updates every month around the second to third week and has for a year so far. What version of Android are you on?

Nokia 6 Available. Released 2017, January, it is past the 3 year mark and support may have been discontinued.

“With this update, Nokia 6 will now be getting security updates on a quarterly level” looks like it moved to quarterly updates.

Thanks Treker2. Currently I’m on Pie and only 1 update behind current for my model. Originally when I posted this, I wasn’t aware they switched over to quarterly updates. Good to know!
