I broke my phone and need to buy a new one. The phone I want to buy - the Moto G5 plus - is not on your list, however a redditt forum says that your wifi list is not up to date and the Moto G5 plus works with wifi talk and text. Which is true?
I have a Moto G5 plus and have been with Mintsim for over one year and wifi calling works great with my phone on Mintsim (Mint Mobile).

I also have a G5 plus with wifi calling working well on Mint. That "full list of devices" is out of date.
Wow, could we please support IOS anytime soon? I no longer get service in my hometown
Is there a date to have this feature set in the Apple IOS phones?
As of now, just Android devices. No iPhones, unfortunately. For a full list of devices go to https://www.mintmobile.com/wifi-talk-text/
VISUAL VOICEMAIL
Our iOS customers have been asking for visual voicemail for a while—and now we have it! You can access visual voicemail via the voicemail tab on your dialer.
WIFI TALK & TEXT
Now you can talk over a WiFi network, which means you no longer have to rely on network coverage alone for your calling and texting needs. Got access to WiFi? You’re good to go!
VoLTE ENABLED CALLING
VoLTE (aka Voice Over LTE) lets you connect calls over the LTE network. That’s fancy talk for better quality and faster connection times for your calls!

guess someone put out the info too early as it doesnt work though..(IOS 11.4)

Under Settings/wireless&networks/more/cellular networks you should see an option to turn on "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode". Make sure that is turned on.

Then go back one step (to Settings/wireless&networks/more). There should be 'Wi-Fi calling". Tap that and make sure that is turned on.

If you have taken those steps and Wi-Fi calling doesn't seem to be working, let us know what you have done to test whether or not it is working.

2 Months ago and still nothing happened. This is getting frustrating. I'm moving to a new house with no reception. So happy i paid the entire year up front. If only they had wifi calling for IOS..
Nokia 7.1 works with Mint's WiFi Talk & Text
Though not an officially supported device (yet?), I can personally attest that my Nokia 7.1 (Android 8.1.0) does indeed work with Mint's WiFi Talk & Text. After activating this feature, I can leave both WiFi and cellular switched on, and the phone uses my home WiFi network for calls and text, instead of using cellular. I even get a "Mint WiFi Calling" label and icon in my Android status bar when I pull it down. However, when I leave my home WiFi network, I switch WiFi off so that my phone's battery doesn't drain while it's searching for another WiFi network.
I wanted to add for anybody who may be interested. my unlocked Moto G5S Plus (XT1806) does wifi calling. It's not on the list.

I also have a Huawei AT&T unlocked Ascend XT (H1711) that doesn't. Not surprising since it's AT&T. I may try flashing it with a TMO ROM eventually (if one exists) to see if I can get it to work. As it is now it's been a great hotspot for almost 3 months.
Any hints on what determines whether a device is supported?
Got Huawei P20Pro, has WiFi callin/text working with another provider - but no option to turn it on for Mint in phone settings... Weird. Any chance this is coming soon?
I have a Huawei phone that does WIFI calling, too. But it's ATT. Not sure what the differences are, but ATT and T-MOBILE may do things in ways that aren't compatible with each other. Or maybe it's just something about the phone itself.

One thread on XDA I found from April last year (lost the link now) said no Huawei phones in the US work with T-MOBILE when it comes to WIFI calling. They claimed that was confirmed. Don't remember seeing an explanation why that is.
Weird as Mint lists quite a few Huawei phones as supported for WiFi calling. Also, another carrier is not ATT for me - it's Ireland's eir 🙂
That is surprising. I didn't look through their list because I kept reading how outdated it is (not confirmed). The one and only time I did look was to see if either of my Motorola phones were listed (one is, one wasn't when I looked). Like I said, I found that claim in an XDA post, but never bothered to check further since it was certain my Huawei wasn't going to work and I had alternatives. The post wasn't about Mint specifically. But it was about another company that also links through T-MOBILE.
